Quilting Services Pricing All prices are based per square inch. To find this, multiply the length of the quilt by the width. Measure along each side AND across the middle. This will also double check to make sure the quilt is square and will lay flat. If the borders are longer than the center of the quilt it will not mount properly and will not quilt without wrinkles. Minimum charge: $40 Basting for hand quilting: .005 per square inch Free hand 'edge-to-edge' from .015 per square inch for 3" loopy meander to .04 for 1" with multiple elements (leaves, flowers, stars, hearts, etc.) Individual blocks, borders and sashing: .04 and up per square inch Heirloom including stitch in the ditch, continuous curves, multiple block designs, art quilts, and quilts with triangles, trapunto, original designs, micro fill, writing and painting with thread. Backs should be pieced with the seam running top to bottom for the least amount of stretch. The selvages should be trimmed from the seam and pressed open. Make sure all seams along the edge of the quilt are secured by backstitching.
